First there was Maryland!

I was born in Baltimore Maryland, most of my childhood was in Harford County Maryland. Over the years I bounced between Harford & Baltimore Counties.

Favorites

I loved Rocks State Park, it was not far from the house I grew up in. It was a beautiful stream and lots of rocks. Whenever I have and still when I see rocks I smile.. it is just one of those things I have always been drawn to.

Maryland blue crabs!  I did love Blue Crabs... but ONLY in Maryland.. If eaten anywhere else they are just wrong, too many have no idea how to make them, they end up boiled (the meat turns soggy & nasty), tasteless (too many have no idea how to season them). Best method.. steamed with beer and seasoned ONLY with Old Bay & lots of it! But sadly the crabs over the years were harder & harder to get, got smaller & smaller, and more & more expensive. So something I might miss is really not there anymore anyhow.

Life:

The state itself is interesting as a whole... but the humidity and allergy issues are not a draw for me, nor are beaches, plus memories in general.

The one thing I truly liked out there was Rocks State Park.. but that was due to the Rocks, go figure I found myself in heaven in Colorado!

A large rock formation at the top of the mountain and Kilgore Falls.
