We Love Colorado!!

Colorado!

I grew up in Maryland but always planned on moving to another area... where was the question.

Like many people on coast areas there is either the east or west coast, the land in between is simply what you drive through or fly over. So my initial destination was Maine, I loved the rocks... always had a strong interest and love of rocks!

When I met my husband (1996) in Delaware, I was preparing to start moving up the coast line, northward. I told him early on that I wanted and planned to move... he too wanted to move, but was not sure where. When I looked at Maine, the employment factor was an issue, so I started evaluating other areas.

How did we decide on Colorado? My husband very much wanted/needed a vacation. He had seen some interesting things about Colorado, so I figured what the heck, lets make a trip out there. 2003 We came out to Colorado for vacation, we landed in Denver. We explored (tourist stuff) things up in Denver, through Colorado Springs and down to Canon City. We loved everything out here... the people, lack of traffic, clean air, clean water, and the beauty of Colorado! We returned the following year to make sure we were sane... we had centered on Colorado Springs for our new home. We returned home, and started packing and preparing our home for sale... and making sure our decision was well thought out.

December 2004, our house in Delaware sold by the time the sign went into the ground! We hit the road to Colorado! Initially we rented a home, while we made a decision on our home. We found a home to build, it was completed May 2005! Beautiful neighborhood... colorful homes, simply a lovely neighborhood & great location!

So that is where we are now... of course I still long for allot of trees and acreage,... but this home will be great for now... we do love it! Eventually we will find our piece of property, and build our home amongst the trees!

My favorites here in the Springs... Cheyenne Mtn Zoo, Garden of the Gods and the Mountains (especially when they are snow capped!).
